Yamhill County, OR – The Oregon State Police has identified a victim killed in a traffic collision on Highway 99 in Yamhill County Wednesday morning as Christine Da Ai Yoon,31, of McMinnville.
The incident was reported on State Route 99 near milepost 30 at around 9:18 a.m. February 19.
According to a preliminary investigation, a southbound Chevrolet Silverado, operated by Stephen Jerrold Miller,28, of Woodland (WA), attempted to turn onto Highway 18 and entered the path of a northbound Toyota Yaris driven Yoon, causing a side impact collision.
Yoon was declared deceased at the scene.
Miller suffered minor injuries and was transported to an area hospital.
The highway was impacted for approximately two hours during the on-scene investigation.
The cause of the crash is under investigation.
