Three vehicles were involved in the accident in the southbound lanes of Interstate 15
San Diego, CA.– The man who was killed in a multi-vehicle collision in San Diego last week on Sunday has been identified as Chong Kil Kim, 83, of Valley Center, according to a report by the San Diego County Medical examiner’s Office.
The wreck took place on Interstate 15 near Camino del Norte shortly before 9 a.m. August 3.
Three vehicles were involved in the accident in the southbound lanes of Interstate 15.
Kim was trapped in one of the vehicles and had to be extricated by firefighters.
He was pronounced deceased at the scene.
Eight other parties, including two children, were transported to hospitals for treatement of minor to major injuries.
The CHP is conducting an investigation into the accident.
