Boyle Heights, CA.- The elderly man who was killed in a crash on a freeway in Boyle Heights has been identified by the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner’s Office.
Cesar Biteranta, 71, was the victim of the accident that took place on the Santa Ana (5) Freeway south of Indiana Street at about 12:50 p.m. November 17.
For an unknown reason, a car and a big rig collided in the northbound lanes of the 5 Freeway.
According to the CHP, Biteranta died at the scene following the incident.
There were no reports of other injuries.
Additional information on the crash were not immediately released.
The CHP is investigating the accident.
