Celia Roman Dies in Tucson Crash on Valencia and Nogales Highway

Tucson, AZ.- A woman was killed in a two-vehicle collision that took place in Tucson last week on Friday, according to the Tucson Police Department.

The incident took place on Valencia and Nogales Highway on October 17.

According to TPD, a 2017 Mitsubishi Mirage was trying to make a left turn onto Nogales Highway from Valencia Road when it collided with a 2017 Kia Optima traveling west on Valencia Road.

A passenger in the Mitsubishi was taken to a hospital, where she died on Saturday, October 18.

She was identified as Celia Roman, 80.

The driver of the Mitsubishi, an 85-year-old man, was cited for failure to yield while making a turn.

The cause of the crash is under investigation.
