Cathy Spears Killed in Tucson Pedestrian Accident on Orange Grove Road and La Cholla Boulevard

Tucson, AZ.- The woman who was hit and seriously hurt by a vehicle earlier this month in Tucson has succumbed to her injuries.

According the Pima County Sheriff’s Department, Cathy Spears, 59, died following the incident that took place at Orange Grove Road and La Cholla Boulevard on November 8.

Spears was reportedly riding in a wheelchair in the crosswalk when a Toyota Corolla on green light hit her.

The PCSD reported that Spears was taken to a hospital with critical injuries and she was pronounced deceased on November 19.

The driver of the Toyota, Margaret Zirnheld, 68, was not injured and stayed at the scene.

No further details on the crash were available.

The PCSD is investigating the incident.
