Long Beach, CA – A man was injured Sunday afternoon in a bicycle accident in Long Beach, according to the Long Beach PD.
The accident happened around 12:45 p.m. on September 14 at the intersection of Pacific Coast Highway and Golden Avenue near the Los Angeles River.
Police said a vehicle was traveling westbound on PCH in the No. 2 lane while the man was riding a bicycle westbound in the far-right bicycle lane.
The man attempted to turn southbound onto Golden, moved into the vehicle's path, and was rear-ended. He was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries to his upper and lower body.
The driver of the vehicle, a man, remained at the scene and cooperated with the investigators.
The police are investigating the accident.
