A vehicle was traveling on SR 78 when it drifted off the roadway and crashed into the embankment
Ramona, CA – The authorities have released the name of a person who died after a vehicle crashed on Highway 78 in Ramona late last month.
The County Medical Examiner's Office identified the deceased passenger as Arturo Armando Flores, 44.
SDPD said Flores was a passenger in a pickup truck that swerved to avoid colliding with another vehicle and overturned onto an embankment along State Route 78 at Weekend Villa Road at about 4 p.m. on August 28.
Flores was pronounced dead at the scene.

Ramona, CA.- One person was killed in a single-vehicle accident in Ramona on Thursday afternoon, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The wreck happened on State Route 78 at Weekend Villa Road at about 4 p.m. on August 28.
A vehicle was traveling on SR 78 when it drifted off the roadway and crashed into the embankment.
One person was pronounced deceased at the scene.
It's unclear whether the deceased party was the driver or a passenger in the vehicle.
The CHP is handling the investigation.
