Apple Valley, CA – Two drivers were injured, one critically, following a two-vehicle crash at an intersection in Apple Valley on Saturday night, according to the California Highway Patrol.

Authorities reported that the crash involved a white Mercedes-Benz and a silver 2000 Lexus ES 300. Both drivers, who were male and the sole occupants of their respective vehicles, were involved in the collision under circumstances that were not immediately disclosed.
The driver of the Lexus sustained critical injuries and had to be extricated from the wreckage. A witness at the scene reported that the driver appeared to be unconscious. The Lexus driver was transported by ambulance to a hospital for treatment. The driver of the Mercedes-Benz suffered minor injuries and was also taken to a hospital by ambulance.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation by the Apple Valley Police Department.
Emergency responders arrived at the scene and worked to extricate the trapped driver and assist the injured.
The crash caused disruptions in the area surrounding the intersection as authorities worked to clear the scene.
