Apple Valley, CA – Authorities are investigating a deadly crash that claimed the life of one person and left another with major injuries on Friday evening in Apple Valley.
The accident happened at around 7:46 p.m. August 7, on Bear Valley Road near Deep Creek Road.
According to preliminary reports, a gray SUV and a black 2021 Chevrolet Silverado were involved in the accident. Reasons as to why the two collided were yet to be established.
The impact sent the Silverado off the south side of Bear Valley Road.
A person riding in the Silverado was pronounced deceased at the scene.
One other party was hospitalized with major injuries while three others were taken with non-life-threatening injuries. Children were reportedly in the truck at the time of the crash but their exact conditions were not specified.
The accident caused a closure of Bear Valley Road for hours as authorities investigated and cleared the scene.
