Anaheim, CA – Three people were injured in a multi-vehicle crash that disrupted traffic on State Route 91 in Anaheim early Saturday morning, according to the California Highway Patrol.

CHP logs said five vehicles, including a silver Toyota Prius, a red Toyota Prius, and a red Scion, were involved in the crash. Initial reports stated that several lanes were blocked and that at least one occupant may have been trapped inside a vehicle.
Emergency crews from Anaheim Fire & Rescue responded to the scene and found three patients with complaints of pain. One patient was taken to St. Joseph Hospital with complaint of pain to the head. Two others, including 17-year-old Jamie D. Thurman, were transported to UC Irvine Medical Center. Both patients had complaints of pain to the back and legs.
Tow trucks were called to remove the damaged vehicles, while Caltrans crews responded to clear oil and debris scattered across the roadway.
The crash prompted the temporary closure of eastbound State Route 91, with all traffic diverted onto State Route 57. A SigAlert was issued as authorities worked to clear the scene.
All lanes reopened at approximately 5:14 a.m.
The cause of the collision remains under investigation.
