47-year-old Hesperia woman driving the Subaru was airlifted to the hospital for treatment
Hesperia, CA. – 45-year-old Amanda Ross Wehner Lugo has been identified as the woman who died in a car crash that left another woman severely injured on Thursday night in Hesperia.
According to the San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department, the accident happened around 11 p.m. at Seaforth Street and Newhall Avenue.
A Subaru sedan and a Ford pickup truck were involved in the accident.
Lugo, a resident of Apple Valley, was driving the truck and was ejected from the vehicle. She was pronounced dead at the scene.
A 47-year-old Hesperia woman driving the Subaru was airlifted to the hospital for treatment.
Both drivers were the lone occupants in each vehicle.
More details about the accident were not released.
An investigation into the accident is underway.
