San Dego, CA – An 81-Year-old woman who was killed after two vehicles collided at an intersection in San Diego on mid last month has been identified by the San Diego County Sheriff’s Department as Corazon Santos.
The two-vehicle crash happened at about 9:05 a.m. on Saturday, March 16 at the intersection of Crabtree Street and Blanford Street.
According to the Sheriff’s Department, an Infiniti SUV was heading southbound on Crabtree Street approaching the intersection of Blanford Street.
The SUV slowed before entering the intersection to turn left and collided with an eastbound BMW sedan on Blanford Street.
Santos, who was a passenger in the SUV, was seriously injured in the incident and was transported by responding paramedics to UC San Diego Medical Center Emergency Department.
Upon her arrival, she was diagnosed with multiple injuries. She remained hospitalized and her condition continued to decline throughout her admission until death was pronounced at about 12:04 a.m. on March 21, 2024.
