Five injured in 8 Freeway collision near Waring Road in San Diego
San Diego, CA. – Authorities are investigating a major injury car crash that occurred in San Diego on Sunday morning.
The 8:30 a.m. accident occurred on Interstate 8 Freeway near Waring Road, according to the California Highway Patrol.
A silver sedan reportedly lost control and was hit by a white pickup truck. The impact of the collision sent both vehicles off the roadway.
Two other vehicles were involved in the pileup.
Multiple people were ejected from the vehicles during the crash.
A total of five people were transported to hospital with serious injuries.
