Police reported that a sedan and an SUV collided in the area and the impact caused the sedan to strike a home along Lafayette Avenue
Newark, CA.- Five people were injured in a two-vehicle collision in Newark on Sunday night, according to the Newark Police Department.
The incident happened on Cedar Boulevard and Lafayette Avenue at around 10:35 p.m. August 31.
Police reported that a sedan and an SUV collided in the area and the impact caused the sedan to strike a home along Lafayette Avenue.
The driver of the sedan and two passengers in the SUV were transported to hospital with serious injuries.
The driver of the SUV and one occupant of the home were hospitalized with minor injuries.
Police reported that one of the drivers was suspected to have been impaired.
The crash is under investigation by the Newark Police Department.
