San Diego, California (October 8, 2022) – Authorities are investigating a Saturday evening head-on collision that injured two women in San Diego.

The suspected DUI accident happened at about 6:52 p.m. on northbound 2500 Florida Drive.

According to the police, a vehicle driven by a 28-year-old woman crossed the southbound lane and collided head-on with another car driven by a 57-year-old woman.

The 57-year-old woman sustained minor head injuries. Her 78-year-old passenger sustained an open wrist fracture with complaints of pain.

The 28-year-old female driver was evaluated at the scene and was arrested on suspicion of DUI.

Further details regarding the accident were not immediately available.

An investigation into the mishap is underway.
