According to the Police Department, the incident took place in the 1300 block of Wilshire Boulevard near Euclid Street at about 9:15 p.m. October 24.

Santa Monica, CA.- Two pedestrians died after being struck by a hit-and-run motorist in Santa Monica on Friday night.

According to the Santa Monica Police Department, the incident took place in the 1300 block of Wilshire Boulevard near Euclid Street at about 9:15 p.m. October 24.

A vehicle was reportedly heading west in the eastbound lanes of Wilshire Boulevard when it drifted into the sidewalk and hit four pedestrians.

Two pedestrians were pronounced dead at the scene.

The other two victims were rushed to a hospital and were expected to survive.

The driver who hit the pedestrians fled the scene on foot and remains at large.

Authorities are conducting an investigation into the deadly crash.
