Authorities believe that the 82-Year-Old Woman was crossing the street when she was hit by a vehicle turning left onto eastbound Wilshire Boulevard from southbound 5th Street.

Santa Monica, CA – An 82-year-old woman suffered critical injuries after being hit by a vehicle Thursday afternoon in Santa Monica, authorities reported.

The Santa Monica Police Department and the Santa Monica Fire Department responded to the scene shortly after the accident.

Authorities believe that the 82-Year-Old Woman was crossing the street when she was hit by a vehicle turning left onto eastbound Wilshire Boulevard from southbound 5th Street.

The firefighters transported the pedestrian to a local hospital, where she was listed in critical condition.

The driver stopped and remained at the scene.

SMPD is investigating the accident.
