Temecula, Calif. – Two people were seriously injured in a pedestrian accident on Friday afternoon in Temecula.

The auto-pedestrian accident happened on the 40700 block of Winchester Road at around 3:48 p.m., according to the Riverside County Fire Department.

A vehicle reportedly struck a pedestrian on the highway in unclear circumstances.

Two people suffered major injuries in the crash and were transported to an area hospital by ground ambulance.
