Deputies reported that a patrol SUV collided with an older model vehicle and the impact pushed the SUV into a power pole

South LA, CA.- Two deputies were injured in a crash involving a suspected DUI driver in South Los Angeles on Monday night.
According to the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department, the wreck happened on Vermont Avenue and W. 98th Street at about 9:15 p.m. September 1.
Deputies reported that a patrol SUV collided with an older model vehicle and the impact pushed the SUV into a power pole.
The two deputies were treated for their injuries at Harbor-UCLA Medical Center and released.
The other driver fled the scene after the crash but was later located.
The driver was arrested on suspicion of DUI and hit-and-run.
An investigation into the collision is ongoing.
