San Diego, California (May 28, 2023) – One person was seriously injured in a motorcycle accident that happened near Mission Beach in San Diego on Saturday afternoon.

The accident happened on eastbound West Mission Bay Drive near Mission Boulevard and Ingraham Street at around 4:14 p.m.

A 2008 Triumph motorcycle was traveling on the highway when it broadsided a 2011 Toyota Camry making a U-turn near Mission Beach.

The motorcyclist, 32, suffered major injuries including broken arms and legs and was transported to a local hospital for treatment.

The 54-year-old driver of the Camry was unhurt.

More details about the accident were not released.

An investigation into the accident is underway.
