Buellton, CA. – One person died, and two others were hospitalized after a traffic collision that happened Friday evening near Buellton, the California Highway Patrol reported.
The incident occurred around 6:54 p.m. on Highway 246 near Domingos Road.
Two vehicles were involved in the crash.
Police officers, firefighters, and paramedics responded to the scene.
A passenger in one of the cars was pronounced dead at the scene.
The adult male driver of the vehicle that had a fatality was taken by ground ambulance to Marian Regional Medical Center with moderate injuries.
The solo male driver of the other vehicle was transported to Santa Ynez Cottage Hospital with minor injuries.
Only one lane of the highway was open during the investigation.
