The CHP reported that Scarfe was driving a Ford F-150 westbound when he collided with a 2012 Tesla Model S that entered the intersection

Buellton, CA.– George Scarfe, 57, of Lompoc, was injured in a deadly crash involving a suspected DUI driver in Buellton on Friday evening.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the accident was reported at around 6:54 p.m. on Highway 246 and Domingos Road.
The CHP reported that Scarfe was driving a Ford F-150 westbound when he collided with a 2012 Tesla Model S that entered the intersection.
Scarfe was transported to Santa Ynez Valley Cottage Hospital with minor injuries.
A passenger in the Tesla was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The identity of the deceased victim was not immediately released.
The driver of the Tesla, Jesus Moises Martinez Chavira, 46, of North Hills, was transported to Marian Regional Medical Center with major injuries.
Chavira was later arrested on suspicion of DUI following the incident.
The CHP is handling the investigation.
