At about 1 a.m., authorities responded to reports of a crash on Thomas Road near Interstate 17.

The man was found unconscious by the first responders and was pronounced dead at the scene.
The crash caused a closure of Thomas Road between 27th Avenue and Interstate 17 for over five hours as authorities investigated the incident.
