One person killed in Imperial County wrong-way crash on 8 Freeway near Highway 98
Imperial County, CA. – One person was killed in a collision involving a wrong-way driver on Saturday morning in Imperial County.
According to the California Highway Patrol (CHP) El Centro, the deadly collision happened on Interstate 8 Freeway near Highway 98 at around 5:15 a.m.
Two vehicles including one traveling the wrong way were involved in the crash.
Per the report, at least one person was killed in the collision.
The person who died in the crash was not immediately identified.
