Mesa, AZ.- One person was killed in a crash that took place in Mesa on Saturday morning, according to the Mesa Police Department.
The wreck happened near Val Vista Drive and Pueblo Avenue at around 7:30 a.m.
According to police, a vehicle traveling in the area slammed into a residential cinder block wall.
The two occupants of the vehicle were treated for major injuries at the scene, before being transferred to a hospital.
One of the patients was pronounced deceased at the hospital.
The accident sent cinder blocks crashing into a home's windows.
No one at the residence was hurt.
The cause of the accident is under investigation.
