Phoenix, AZ – One person is dead and another is hospitalized following an early morning crash at an intersection in Laveen.
The deadly collision happened at about 3 a.m. at the intersection of 31st Avenue and Southern Avenue.
Phoenix Police said two men were injured and hospitalized following the wreck. One of the men succumbed to his injuries at the hospital. The deceased man’s name has not been released.
The second patient remains hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries, police said.
The intersection was shut down for several hours as the investigation was underway.
The roadway was cleared around 9 a.m.
The incident remains under investigation.
