Ferndale, CA.- A driver was hospitalized after a 10-wheeler truck crashed near Ferndale on Thursday morning, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The wreck happened near Grizzly Bluff Road and Waddington Road at around 10:14 a.m.
A loaded large truck traveling eastbound reportedly crashed under unclear circumstances.
The Ferndale Volunteer Fire Department responded to the scene and gave medical aid to the driver, who had self-extricated from the truck.
The driver was then transported to a hospital for further treatment.
Roads were shut down in the area as authorities worked to clear the scene.
The cause of the accident is under investigation.
