Boron, CA – Librado Barraza Killed in Highway 58 Crash at Borax Road

Police said Barraza was driving a vehicle that collided with another vehicle while traveling eastbound on Highway 58.

Boron, CA – Authorities have identified the man who died in a collision on eastbound Highway 58 in Boron on October 24, 2026, according to the Kern County Coroner’s Office.

The victim was identified as 71-year-old Librado Nunez Barraza of Porterville, the coroner’s office reported.

The crash occurred at approximately 8:35 p.m. west of Borax Road.

Barraza was driving a vehicle that collided with another vehicle while traveling eastbound on Highway 58.
