Yuma, AZ – Three people were hospitalized following a three-vehicle collision on South 4th Avenue in Yuma on Saturday morning, according to the Yuma Police Department.
The crash occurred at approximately 8:28 a.m. on October 24, 2026, in the 1800 block of South 4th Avenue.
Investigators said a northbound Honda Accord, driven by a 19-year-old man, struck the rear of a Chevrolet Silverado driven by a 35-year-old man. The Honda then hit a curb, rolled onto its side, and slid into a GMC Terrain that was waiting to exit the Chevron parking lot.
The Honda driver had to be extricated from the vehicle before being taken to Onvida Health. The man was later flown to a Phoenix-area hospital with injuries that were not considered life-threatening.
The Terrain’s driver, a 30-year-old man, and his 30-year-old female passenger were also taken to Onvida Health, where they were treated and released. A 1-year-old passenger in the Terrain was not injured. No other injuries were reported.
Yuma police said speed and intoxication appear to have contributed to the collision involving the Honda driver. The investigation remains ongoing.
