Vallejo, CA – A pedestrian is dead after being hit by a vehicle early Thursday morning in Vallejo, the California Highway Patrol reported.

The accident took place around 2:34 a.m. on October 22, 2026, on the westbound Interstate 80 to the eastbound Interstate 780 connector road.

A car hit a pedestrian who was in the traffic lanes under unclear circumstances.

Paramedics responded and pronounced the victim dead at the scene at 2:49 a.m.

The body was reportedly hit by a second car before being removed from the scene.

The connector road was closed until 4:45 a.m. following the collision.

An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
