Vallejo, CA – A woman died after she was hit by a car that veered off the roadway onto a sidewalk Thursday afternoon near an intersection in Vallejo.
According to the Vallejo Police Department, the incident happened around 1:12 p.m. on July 30, 2026, at Broadway Street and Mahogany Drive.
Reportedly, a car was traveling west on Tuolumne Street when it entered the intersection of Broadway Street and Mahogany Drive, then left the roadway, crashed into several parked cars, and struck a woman on a sidewalk.
The woman sustained life-threatening injuries. She was rushed to the hospital, where she later succumbed to her injuries.
Another person who was inside a legally parked vehicle that was hit sustained non-life-threatening injuries. The person was taken to the hospital for evaluation.
The driver of the car remained at the scene and cooperated with investigators. Intoxication did not appear to be a contributing factor.
An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
