Long Beach, CA – A boy was struck and killed by a vehicle Friday night near an intersection in Long Beach, authorities reported.

The incident happened around 10:10 p.m. on October 16, 2026, near Shoreline Drive and Beach Access Road.

According to the Long Beach Police Department, a boy ran across traffic lanes and was hit by a 2026 Honda Accord.

The child died from injuries sustained in the crash.

It was unclear if the boy’s family members were with him at the time of the accident.

The driver stopped and remained at the scene.
