Olympia, WA- Pedestrian Injured in Crash on Pacific Avenue Southeast 

Police reported that a 25-year-old man was driving in the area when he struck a pedestrian and crashed into a metal pole on the side of the roadway.

Olympia, WA – A man was hospitalized after being hit by a vehicle in a suspected DUI accident in Olympia on Wednesday night.

According to the Olympia Police Department, the incident took place in the 3500 block of Pacific Avenue Southeast at around 7:50 p.m. September 30.

Police reported that a 25-year-old man was driving in the area when he struck a pedestrian and crashed into a metal pole on the side of the roadway.

The pedestrian, a 42-year-old man, was taken to a hospital for treatment of minor injuries and was later released.

Police performed field sobriety tests on the involved driver.

The motorist was eventually arrested and booked into Nisqually Jail on suspicion of DUI.

The identities of the involved driver and the pedestrian were not immediately released.

The accident remains under investigation by the Olympia Police Department.
