El Monte, CA – At least one person was hospitalized after a car crashed into a Food 4 Less store, hitting three pedestrians in El Monte on Tuesday morning.

According to the Los Angeles County Fire Department, the wreck was reported at around 7:30.a.m. September 29, along Garvey Avenue.

For unspecified reasons, a car slammed into the store and three pedestrians were struck. It’s unclear whether the pedestrians were outside the store or inside.

According to a report by the El Monte Police Department, at least one person was taken to a hospital for treatment of unspecified injuries.

The involved driver stayed at the scene and was cooperative with investigators.

An investigation into cause of the collision is underway.
