Phoenix, AZ – A pedestrian was critically injured after being struck by a car late Saturday night near an intersection in north Phoenix, the Phoenix Police Department reported.

The incident occurred around 10 p.m. on September 26, 2026, near Cave Creek and Greenway roads.

According to Phoenix police, the incident happened when a driver making a right turn onto Cave Creek Road hit a pedestrian walking in a crosswalk.

The victim was taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries.

It was unclear who had the green light at the time of the accident.
