The California Highway Patrol reported that Yesca Paz was behind the wheel of a 2003 Nissan Sentra traveling eastbound on Copus Road when, for unknown reasons, he drifted into the westbound side and crashed head-on with an oncoming 2005 Honda Odyssey.
Bakersfield, CA – Authorities have released the identities of three Taft residents who died in a car accident late last month in Bakersfield.
According to the Kern County Coroner’s Office, Jacobo Yesca Paz, 43, Pablo Galindo Quiahua, 54, and Raul Velasco Torres, 35, were killed in the incident that happened at around 5:22 a.m. August 28, on Copus Road, west of Old River Road.

The Odyssey was bring driven by a 60-year-old Bakersfield man.
Yesca Paz and two of his passengers, identified as Quiahua and Torres, were all killed in the accident.
Two other passengers in the Nissan and the two occupants of the Honda were treated for minor to moderate injuries.
Whether alcohol or drugs played a role in the incident remained unclear.
The California Highway Patrol is still investigating the accident.
