According to the Kern County Coroner’s Office, Martiniano Hernandez Zamora, 22, of Taft, was among three people killed in the accident that took place on September 26, on Highway 119, just south of Harrison Street.
Taft, CA – Authorities have released the identity of the third victim killed in a two-vehicle collision late last month in Taft.
According to the Kern County Coroner’s Office, Martiniano Hernandez Zamora, 22, of Taft, was among three people killed in the accident that took place on September 26, on Highway 119, just south of Harrison Street.
Investigators reported that Zamora was driving a Ford Ranger pickup truck north on Highway 119 when he collided head-on with an oncoming Mercedes.
The Mercedes was driven by Jose Ivan Martinez Birrueta, 29, of Bakersfield.
Both drivers and a passenger in the Mercedes, identified as Nathan Steve Martinez, 26, of Martinez, were all killed in the accident.
An investigation into the deadly collision by the California Highway Patrol is still ongoing.
