Hollywood, CA – The authorities have identified the man who was killed in a three-vehicle crash on the San Diego (405) Freeway Monday afternoon.
The Los Angeles County Medical Examiner’s Office identified the victim as 45-year-old James Chhan.
The crash occurred around 2:30 p.m. Monday, September 7, on the northbound 405 Freeway just north of Sunset Boulevard. The collision involved three vehicles.
Chhan was pronounced dead at the scene, and another person was injured.
Details about how the vehicles collided were not immediately available.
A SigAlert was issued while the carpool lane and two main lanes were closed following the crash. The traffic restriction was canceled at approximately 6:20 p.m. Monday.
The California Highway Patrol continues to investigate the crash.
