Los Angeles, CA. — A 44-year-old woman who was struck and killed on the San Diego (405) Freeway in Westchester late Sunday night has been identified by authorities as Kinna Robin.
The California Highway Patrol received reports of the collision at approximately 11:16 p.m. on the southbound side of the freeway, just south of La Tijera Boulevard.
Investigators said the woman was hit by a vehicle while on the roadway, suffering multiple traumatic injuries that proved fatal.
Emergency personnel responded quickly to offer aid, but Robin was pronounced dead at the scene, according to the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner.
CHP issued a SigAlert at 11:39 p.m., closing all southbound lanes as investigators examined the crash area and documented evidence.
Traffic was diverted onto the La Cienega/Manchester Boulevards off-ramp while the scene was processed.
The SigAlert remained in effect for several hours and was lifted around 2:30 a.m. Monday.
Authorities have not released additional details about what led to the collision.

Los Angeles, CA – A pedestrian was killed in a late Sunday night crash on Interstate 405 in West Los Angeles.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the crash happened at around 11:16 p.m. on the southbound 405 Freeway just south of La Tijera Boulevard.
A white Kia Soul struck the pedestrian in the area for unknown reasons.
The pedestrian, whose identity was not released, died at the scene.
No additional information about the accident was provided.
An investigation is underway.
