Montebello, CA – Several people were injured when a car went off the roadway and hit them after a two-vehicle collision that happened Sunday morning in Montebello.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident occurred around 10:40 a.m. on September 6, 2026, on Rosemead Boulevard, just south of Durfee Avenue.
Authorities reported that two vehicles were involved in a crash in the area, causing one of them to careen into a street vendor and some pedestrians, and the other to end up in a riverbed.
The street vendor and the pedestrians sustained minor injuries.
Firefighters responded to the scene and extricated the driver of the car that ended up in the riverbed. It was unclear if that motorist was injured.
It was also unclear if the driver of the vehicle that hit the pedestrians was hurt.
The cause of the two-vehicle crash remained unknown at the time of the report.
Investigators closed Rosemead Boulevard, just south of Durfee Avenue, for investigation.
