Mendocino County, CA – One person was killed in a two-vehicle crash on Highway 101 in Willits on Saturday night, according to the California Highway Patrol.

CHP dispatch logs indicate the collision involved a Subaru WRX and a Chevrolet pickup truck. During the crash, one person was ejected and found in the middle of the roadway.
One person died at the scene. Authorities also reported an unconscious victim in the pickup truck, but no additional information about that person’s condition was immediately released.
The crash prompted a full shutdown of Highway 101, with northbound and southbound traffic turned around as emergency crews responded and investigators processed the scene.
The fatal crash remains under investigation by the California Highway Patrol.
