Phoenix, AZ – A man was killed and three other people were injured in a three-vehicle crash in west Phoenix Saturday afternoon, according to the Phoenix Police Department.

The collision occurred shortly before 5 p.m. on August 29 near 35th and Glendale avenues.

As per the police, a BMW sedan, a Toyota Camry and a Kia sedan were involved in the deadly collision.

Police said 22-year-old Kevin Lyman was driving the BMW westbound on Glendale Avenue at a high rate of speed when he crashed into a Toyota Camry that was exiting a parking lot. The impact sent the Toyota spinning into the eastbound lanes, where it collided with the Kia.

Lyman was transported to a hospital where he later died from his injuries. A woman and two children who were inside the Toyota were not seriously injured. The adult male driver of the Kia was taken to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Police said neither driver showed signs of impairment.

The investigation remains ongoing.
