Pedestrian Hit by Vehicle in St. Mary’s Neighborhood of Long Beach Dies from Her Injuries

Long Beach, CA – A woman who was hit and injured by a vehicle last week in the St. Mary’s neighborhood of Long Beach died from her injuries, authorities reported.

According to the Long Beach Police Department, the incident occurred around 8:21 p.m. on August 21, 2026, at 10th Street and Alamitos Avenue.

Authorities reported that a woman was walking westbound in the north crosswalk of 10th Street when she was hit by a Toyota Tundra pickup truck making a left turn from Alamitos onto 10th.

Long Beach firefighters responded to the scene and rushed the pedestrian to a local hospital for treatment.

On Sunday, LBPD was notified that the woman died from her injuries.

The driver of the pickup truck remained at the scene and cooperated with investigators.
