Marcelo Bajerano Killed in Fallbrook Crash on Interstate 15 near Mission Road

Firefighters had to extricate one person from a vehicle before being taken to a local hospital.

Fallbrook, CA. – 38-year-old Marcelo Bajerano was killed in a head-on collision early Tuesday morning in Fallbrook.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the accident happened around 12:23 a.m. on Interstate 15 near Mission Road.

A wrong-way driver was traveling northbound in the southbound lanes when they collided head-on with another vehicle.

Bajerano, a resident of Escondido, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Firefighters had to extricate one person from a vehicle before being taken to a local hospital.

Other patients were treated at the scene and released.

More details on the accident were not released.

An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
