The Los Angeles Police Department reported that a BMW was heading north on Crenshaw Boulevard when it slammed into a Toyota Camry in the left turn lane

Hyde Park, CA – The two men who were killed in a multi-vehicle collision in the Hyde Park neighborhood of Los Angeles on Friday morning have been identified.
According to the Los Angeles medical examiner’s office, Sergio Hill, 32, and Alvaro Castillo Jr., 35, were killed in the accident that was reported at around 10:45 a.m. July 10, in the 7700 block of Crenshaw Boulevard near South Victoria Avenue.
The Los Angeles Police Department reported that a BMW was heading north on Crenshaw Boulevard when it slammed into a Toyota Camry in the left turn lane. The Toyota was reportedly stopped to turn left from Crenshaw Boulevard onto westbound 78th Street when the incident happened.
Hill and Castillo Jr. were both riding in the Toyota when it was broadsided by the BMW. They were both killed in the accident. A girl who was also a passenger in the Toyota was transported to a hospital with major injuries.
Initial reports indicate that a Tesla sedan and the BMW were speeding along Crenshaw Boulevard just prior to the accident. The operator of the Tesla was also taken to a hospital for treatment of unspecified injuries.
There were no reports of citations or arrests in connection with the incident. The LAPD is still investigating the accident and more details are expected to be released.
