The crash was reported at approximately 10:59 a.m. on June 6, 2026, on eastbound State Route 78 near the San Marcos Boulevard off-ramp.
CHP logs indicate the collision involved a blue Toyota Corolla and a gray Honda sedan. One vehicle reportedly came to rest in the center divider while the other blocked the slow lane following the crash. Authorities later confirmed the incident involved two vehicles.
At least one person suffered moderate to major injuries in the collision. Information regarding the total number of injured victims or any possible arrests was not immediately available.
