Fresno, CA – A man was hospitalized after being hit by a vehicle at an intersection in southeast Fresno late Sunday night.
The police received reports regarding the incident before 10 p.m. on May 31, 2026, at the Valero Gas Station parking lot on Ventura Avenue and 5th Street.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the driver of a vehicle was going through the lot to get to a gas pump when it ran over an unhoused man.
The male victim suffered cuts to his head and was taken to Community Regional Medical Center for treatment.
The driver remained at the scene and is cooperating with the investigation.
