Studio City, CA – Two drivers fled the scene after striking a pedestrian, leaving him for dead early Tuesday morning in Studio City, the Los Angeles Police Department reported.
At about 5:44 a.m. December 23, authorities were called to the site of an accident in the 12900 block of Ventura Boulevard near Coldwater Canyon Avenue.
According to the LAPD report, a man in his late 40s was hit by a driver in a vehicle suspected to be a black Toyota RAV4. The vehicle had been traveling eastbound on Ventura Boulevard when it hit the pedestrian and was last seen traveling on Van Noord Boulevard.
As the man was lying in the roadway, he was hit by another eastbound vehicle. The second vehicle also fled from the scene after the crash.
The pedestrian was confirmed dead at the scene. His name was not immediately released.
The Los Angeles Police Department is searching for the hit-and-run motorists.
