Tillamook County, OR – One person was killed, and four others were seriously injured following a head-on collision on Highway 18 in Tillamook County Saturday afternoon, according to the Oregon State Police.

The fatal crash occurred at approximately 1:18 p.m. on May 30, 2026, near milepost 13.5 on Highway 18 near Otis.

Preliminary investigation findings indicate a black Cadillac sedan driven by 43-year-old Brandon Westly Joslin of Scotts Mills was traveling eastbound on Highway 18 when the vehicle reportedly failed to negotiate a curve and crossed into the westbound lane for unknown reasons. The Cadillac then collided head-on with a gray Hyundai Sonata driven by 22-year-old Hannah Louise Parsons of Elgin.

A passenger in the Cadillac, identified as 43-year-old Patrick John Stubblefield of Salem, was pronounced dead at the scene. Joslin suffered serious injuries and was transported to an area hospital for treatment. Parsons and two adult passengers riding in the Hyundai also sustained serious injuries and were taken to a hospital. No arrests were reported.

The cause of the Tillamook County crash remains under investigation by Oregon State Police.

Emergency crews from North Lincoln Fire and Rescue, Grand Ronde Emergency Services, and the Oregon Department of Transportation assisted troopers at the crash scene.

The collision impacted Highway 18 for approximately three hours while authorities conducted the on-scene investigation and cleared the wreckage.

The incident remains under investigation.
