Merced, CA – At least one person was injured after two vehicles collided at an intersection in Merced on Saturday afternoon, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The incident was reported at about 3:53 p.m. on Saturday, April 25, 2026, at the intersection of Bellevue Road and Olive Avenue, and involved a gray Toyota Camry and a red Toyota RAV4.
According to the CHP, at least one person sustained minor injuries in the crash. An individual was transported to Mercy Medical Center for treatment of a complaint of pain to the head. Four parties were involved in the incident. The authorities reported no arrests.
The cause of the crash is currently being investigated. Officers noted that both vehicles required towing due to the extent of the front-end damage sustained during the impact.
The California Highway Patrol and Merced Fire Department responded to the scene. Emergency personnel provided medical assistance to the occupants and coordinated the transport of the injured party, while officers managed the removal of the disabled vehicles from the roadway.
The crash impacted the area for over an hour, as the vehicles were positioned in the lanes of travel. The roadway was eventually declared clear and reopened to traffic by approximately 5:02 p.m.
